Fairfax Art League is excited to announce this Art Call for the City Hall Art Show. All members can participate and art can be in any all 2d mediums such as watercolor, photography, acrylic or oil paint. We estimate up to three (3) artworks per artist will be acceptable. If there is space available after three (3) artworks from each artist have been displayed, we can then entertain additional artworks. Artists who want to exhibit more than three (3) artworks, are welcome to bring additional pieces and wait till all the artwork are hung to determine if there is any additional space. Please plan to help setting up the artwork when you bring them in.

The artwork size can be up to 24 x 36 inches.

Artwork should be appropriate for general audience.

Art should be ready to hang or display with wire and d-rings, framed, matted, or with edges finished. Framed artwork should fit securely and safely. Unframed gallery wrapped canvas with no staples visible from the sides are also acceptable. Sides of unframed canvas should be painted and not left unfinished.

We cannot show work that is not ready for exhibition.

All artwork must be original work and not a digital reproduction print. Photography, digital art, and hand-printed fine art prints (block prints, woodcuts, relief prints, monoprints, lithographs, intaglios, etchings, engravings, etc.) are welcome for entry.

Fairfax Art League cannot be held responsible for any artwork left after the pickup deadline. The gallery has no space and artwork could get lost, misplaced, or damaged.

By displaying their artwork at this exhibition, the artist hereby authorizes the display of his/her artwork and releases the City of Fairfax and the representatives of the Fairfax Art League, from liability and/or payment of damages for theft, loss of, or damage of the artwork caused by water, fire, or any other cause which might occur while the artwork is being exhibited and/or stored prior to the retrieval of the artwork by the artist or his/her representative.
