The FAL Art Demo Series for 2023 will start off on January 14th from 11am to 12pm and it will be held in person at the FALKH Gallery. Ellen Rosenthal, printmaker from Woodbridge will demonstrate her artistic process.

About Ellen:

Ellen Rosenthal is a printmaker and artist from Woodbridge VA. She is a retired FCPS art teacher who first learned to relief block print from her host teacher during her student teaching days, and it became a favorite lesson to teach her middle school 7th and 8th grade students. At retirement, she was happy to be able to spend more time working with this exciting and creative art media. She enjoys interpreting the natural world in her block prints and block print collages, with a primary focus on botanical, still life, and landscape subjects, along with her “Art Heads”.

Currently she shows her work at the Artists Undertaking Gallery in Occoquan, and she also shows in the monthly exhibits at the Del Ray Artisans Gallery in Alexandria. She is a juried member of the NVHG and in the past, has participated in their craft shows, as well as the Fairfax City Holiday Art and Craft Show at Fairfax High School.
