After Padma Prasad relocated to the U.S. from India in 1997, she began expressing herself in art. Guided by the training and advice passed on to her by her accomplished artist father, Padma began painting seriously with a desire to recreate Indian home life where she rediscovered the joy in recreating lines, colors and spaces left behind. While her original work was mostly figurative, she is currently exploring abstraction and conceptualism.
