Artist Comment: One sees houses like this everywhere in Northern Virginia. In this picture the house sets in a winter morning. The earth is in its cold season and one sees no immediate promise of green shoots or blossoms. We know the seasons will change and the earth will us show its other sides. And it will give us these shows as far back or ahead in time as we can imagine.
